A harder basecoat surf wax from California. Paraffin-free, biodegradable, non-toxic, and made in a certified zero-waste factory.

Basecoat is used as the first layer on a clean board. It helps create a solid foundation and better wax bumps before you apply your temperature-specific surf wax. Wax bumps are the small lumps of wax on your board that create grip. Better bumps mean the wax builds into a stronger texture, your foot slips less, and the topcoat has something to hold onto.

Works under Cold, Cool, Warm, and Tropical waxes, and is especially useful under softer cold-water waxes.

Universal all-temp wax. White, unscented.

Sticky Bumps waxes:

Cold (purple) — 15 °C and below
Cool (blue) — 14–19 °C
Warm (orange) — 17–24 °C
Tropical (yellow) — above 24 °C
Basecoat (green) — base layer wax
