It's a good idea to always have a tube of NEO-REZ glue at hand, ideally somewhere in the fridge wrapped in food foil so that it dries out as little as possible. If the neoprene tears or a seam comes off somewhere, it needs to be patched immediately, before the defect gets bigger.

Properties:

1) Seam bonding: Neoprene must be clean and dry. You can blow out with a hair dryer. Apply the glue to the seam with the tip of the tube and gravity will take care of the glue soaking into the seam.
2) Tear repair: Use wide masking tape (painter's tape) and tape the tear from the back of the neoprene together. On the opposite side, squeeze a large amount of glue into the crack and spread even 1 cm around the crack. After 20 minutes, carefully remove the masking tape and apply the glue to the reverse side as well. Then let it dry for about 2 hours at room temperature.
3) Filling the hole: When the hole is less than 0.5cm, simply fill the hole with glue. If the hole is larger, proceed as follows. Cut a piece of cotton T-shirt in the shape of a hole. Line the hole with baking paper, put a cut patch of cotton on it and fill the hole with glue. Let it dry for more than two hours. Then cut another patch 0.5 cm larger than the first one, apply glue to it and stick it on the first patch
4) Restoration of shoe soles: Apply a 2mm thickness of glue to a clean and dry worn shoe sole in water and let gravity work to spread it.
